It takes a lot to establish, plan and execute a project like The Old Ghost Road. This project wouldn't be where it is without the vision, belief and support of a core number of project partners. To those organisations below, thank you very much for helping to create the legacy of The Old Ghost Road.

The New Zealand Cycle Trail project (Nga Haerenga) was the central catalyst in making The Old Ghost Road a reality. Visit the New Zealand Cycle Trail website to understand more about this programme and its products. |

By offering a source of sustainable economic activity for the region, The Old Ghost Road project aligns closely with the objectives of Development West Coast. Development West Coast has been integral in assuring the viability of The Old Ghost Road. |

Solid Energy has supported several key elements of The Old Ghost Road project and the timing of their support has been crucial in the evolution of the trail. The huts that will service the trail will be sponsored by Solid Energy. |

Whilst the Gough Group came on board late in the project planning phase, the timing of their support also came at a crucial moment. Fittingly, the Gough Group provide machinery support for the trail, but will also support bridge construction over the Lyell Creek. |

The New Zealand Walking Access Commission is supporting the construction of a suspension bridge over the magnificent Lyell Creek at the southern end of The Old Ghost Road. This will not only enhance access to The Old Ghost Road but will create a breathtaking start to the trail and will improve the DoC walkway loop taking in historic features associated with the old Lyell settlement and gold workings. |

The Department of Conservation is also assisting The Old Ghost Road project by allocating a ranger to provide expert advice around construction and environmental management, as well as supplying a number of swing bridges that will be made available through a bridge-replacement programme elsewhere in the region. |
